1. Users who can access the journal (e.g. students, academic staff, support staff, contractors, TSU, visiting lecturers, employees). The institution may allow access to all persons matriculated, employed or on contractual/part time employment with the institution. This also includes occasional users who access resources through stations physically located on the site and under the control and administration of the subscribing institution.
2. Off campus/outside institution premises use permission (e.g. full-time students, part-time students, placement students, federated institutions, partner organizations/companies, divisions, part time employees, subcontracted agencies). Off campus/outside institution access is permitted in certain cases – the institution must supply the relevant details before IP ranges and/or username/password can be setup.
3. Outside national boundary use permission (e.g. full-time students on holiday, international students at home, placement students, partner organizations, employees traveling/stationed abroad). Outside national boundary access is permitted. Partner institutions/sister companies, divisions and agencies registered abroad must apply for a separate licence.
4. Downloading data, using the journal content for distance learning, course or study packs, projects or dissertations, research (wholly or partly commercially funded), Inter-Library loans, VLE/MLE article linking etc, multimedia and other formats (e.g. Braille), local cache, use limitations e.g. only educational not business for example. Online subscription to the journal allows access to full text versions of articles which can be downloaded and ONE copy printed by the individual user. Permission for multiple use of articles, in particular Case Studies, for teaching/training/consulting purposes MUST be acquired via the Article Permissions or Individual Article Order form on the website or from the publishing editor directly. Use by businesses or corporate training facilities/corporate universities is not permitted under the university institutions subscription and must be set up via a separate subscription application or licence agreement by the business institution(s) in question. Inter-Library loans and article linking systems are only permitted for education research articles and articles must be printed and mailed, not sent electronically. Subscribed business institutions are bound by the same restrictions to multiple use of articles. Individual articles must be ordered separately or a clause in a separate licence agreement be included to cover multiple use of articles.
5. Multi-site access. Multi-site access is allowed provided it adheres to the above.
6. Cancellation/Termination policy. Subscriptions are on a calendar year basis expiring on December 31. Cancellations are only accepted until March 31 of the current subscription year. No refunds will be made after the given period of online access has commenced on or after March 31 of the given publication year. Post termination perpetual access is not permitted. In the event that a journal ceases to be published, appropriate notification will be provided. Electronic backup and preservation of access to a journal’s content is therefore not applicable.
7. The journal is SFX compliant.
8. Athens/Shibboleth or EZ Proxy as authentification systems are permitted.
